Jim Carr is currently a professor in the Construction Management Program at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock where he teaches students about the art of construction. He has been teaching at the university level for the past thirty plus years. He is currently teaching courses in safety and sustainable construction. He enjoys his interaction with the home building industry serving in the leadership of his local, state and national association.
He was a home builder in Norman, Oklahoma before entering his academic career. He shares his good and bad experiences with his students.
When he is not teaching or working in his garden he and his wife enjoy traveling. They have been to all fifty states and over forty countries including China (8), Russia (4), Italy (3), England (2), Israel, Australia, Vietnam, and Peru.
