Karen Z. Kowalski, MPH, OTR, CAPS is an occupational therapist with over 20 years of diverse experience spanning hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, academia, schools for children with multiple disabilities, community-based practice, adapted music programs and home care. She has a deep passion for promoting aging in place and improving accessibility for individuals living with disabilities and their families.
As founder of "Adaptation and Aging in Place (A&AIP)", Karen partners directly with "SEK Architects" to help clients live safely, independently, and meaningfully within their homes, workplaces, and communities. A&AIP provides comprehensive assessments and serves as the primary liaison among clients, architects, contractors, and designers—ensuring a seamless and person-centered approach to accessible as well as universal design.
