NAHB Orientation
Fall: Oct. 6-7, 2025
What is NAHB Orientation?
NAHB Orientation offers EOs, HBA staff and members the ability to learn about NAHB’s programs, products and services. The EO Track is for EOs and HBA staff and is designed for association staff less than three years on the job. The HBA Leadership Track is designed for leaders newly engaged at the local or state level or aspiring to start their national leadership journey.
Members and association staff from the same HBA are allowed to come together. However, due to space capacity, NAHB will only permit one member and one EO or HBA staff member per association. If you have any questions or would like more information, please contact Anna Gimeno (EO Track) or Rachel Branson (HBA Leadership Track).

Orientation Hotel Block
There will be a hotel block for NAHB Orientation attendees close to the National Housing Center. Once registered, you will receive hotel information from your track’s staff contact. Attendees are not obligated to stay within the block, however only the amount at the designated room block per night (or less) will be eligible for reimbursement.
Cost to Attend
NAHB fully reimburses both the EO and Member Leader tracks. Attendees are responsible for arranging their own travel before the event. NAHB will provide instructions on how attendees can be reimbursed after the program. Things to consider:
- NAHB will not reimburse first class or travel upgrades.
- NAHB will reimburse a three-night maximum hotel stay. If attendees plan to stay outside the block, NAHB will reimburse at or less than the hotel block rate.
- Attendees receive a predetermined meal allowance for food not included in the event programming. All attendees receive breakfast and lunch both days. There will also be light appetizers at our reception held on the first day of Orientation.
NAHB Orientation FAQs
Orientation attendees are required to attend both days of programming. In addition, attendees must complete a program evaluation specifying how you and your respective HBA benefited from attending; this will include what you found most beneficial and areas for improvement.
You are welcome (and encouraged) to bring your laptop or alternate desktop devices. You will receive an orientation booklet, complete with the agenda, list of attendees, speakers, and presentation slides.
NAHB Orientation will be held in the National Housing Center in Washington, DC. We recommend you arrive in D.C. the day before programming, as we begin early in the morning on Day 1.
NAHB Orientation is held two times a year, once in the Spring (March/April) and once in the Fall. The next spring orientation will be held on April 15-16, 2026.
