National Flood Insurance Program Extended Through Dec. 11
Congress passed a short-term continuing resolution extending funding at current levels for federal programs through Dec. 11.
Importantly for the housing community, the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) has also been authorized through Dec. 11.
The resolution maintains overall spending at fiscal 2026 levels until mid-December, giving lawmakers more time to pass annual spending bills to fund the government through fiscal 2027, which ends Sept. 30, 2027.
As the appropriations process advances for HUD and other relevant agencies, NAHB will continue monitoring developments closely and weighing in as needed.
