Chairman's Update: Top Events for Housing

In his September video update, 2026 NAHB Chairman Bill Owens highlights key events for the residential construction industry this fall, including why members should get out to vote this November and why now is a great time to register for the 2027 International Builders' Show (IBS).

This November, voters will head to the polls for the midterm elections, and housing is on the ballot.

“NAHB is working hard in every state and in every district to make sure the people we put in office understand what our industry needs to keep building,” Owens explains. "I'm asking you to get involved. Work with your community, talk to your candidates, and make housing a top election day issue."

IBS returns to Las Vegas Feb. 2-4, 2027. This is the first year of a permanent move to Vegas for IBS and Design + Construction Week, providing a consistent IBS experience for decades to come.
