Learn Design Concepts for Age-in-Place Housing
The remodeling sector remains one of the brightest spots of the home building industry as the combination of high mortgage rates and low home inventories are leading consumers to remodel their current home instead of purchasing a new one.
With a growing portion of the country looking to remodel their current homes to fit their aging lifestyles, NAHB is offering three, day-long live online courses in August for remodelers trying to earn their Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS) credential, including:
- Marketing and Communicating with the Aging in Place Client (CAPS I) on Aug. 4
- Design Concepts and Methods for Livable Homes and Aging in Place (CAPS II) on Aug. 11
- Details and Solutions for Livable Homes and Aging in Place (CAPS III) on Aug. 18
These courses will:
- Identify access points and marketing opportunities within targeted aging-in-place marketing segments
- Identify special considerations for estimating, scheduling and executing livable home and aging-in-place jobs while the client is in residence
- Present methods for modifying home design
- Help create comprehensive designs for aging in place projects, and more
