National Associate Chairs (NACs) have oversight of two-thirds of NAHB’s membership, the Associate membership. Their role is to bring Associate initiatives, questions and concerns to the other Builder National Area Chairmen and the senior officers of NAHB for collaboration.

“I’m proud of the relationships we’ve strengthened between Associate members and NAHB leadership,” said Kimberly Mackey, founder of New Homes Solutions Consulting who currently serves as a NAC. “Some of the most important work of a NAC happens through listening, connecting people, and opening doors for meaningful conversations. When Associates feel heard and have greater access to leadership, the entire Federation benefits.”

NAHB has two Associate NACs who each serve two-year terms, staggered so only one new NAC is introduced each year. Associate NACs are elected by the Board of Directors during the Leadership Meetings at the International Builders’ Show.

Applications to serve as the next NAC are now open through Monday, July 13. To apply or nominate an Associate member for this position, please submit this form.

“The most rewarding part of serving as a National Associate Chair is having the opportunity to represent the voice of Associate members at the highest levels of NAHB leadership,” said Mackey. “I encourage others to apply because it is an incredible opportunity to give back to the Federation, grow as a leader, and help strengthen the connection between local, state, and national leadership.”
