NAHB Mourns Passing of Rick Herman
NAHB mourns the passing of Rick Herman, longtime executive officer of the Rochester Home Builders Association (RHBA) in New York. Rick joined RHBA 30 years ago, and served as a tireless advocate for members in Rochester and around the state.
Rick was born in Rochester and became the executive officer of RHBA in 1994. In addition to his work with RHBA, Rick was a past chairperson of the Ontario County Republican Committee, past president of the Kiwanis Club, past president of the Ontario County Habitat for Humanity, former member of the Board of Directors for Strong Children's Hospital, board member for Providence Housing Development Corporation and a member of the Canandaigua Elks Lodge.
Rick passed away July 12 and is survived by his wife, Gail, and his family and friends. Services will be held Friday, Aug. 8, at St. Mary's Church in Canandaigua, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Aquinas Institute or Greater Rochester Habitat for Humanity.
