Upon its inception, Novatech — a renowned manufacturer of doors, doorglass, patio doors and related components — started manufacturing decorative doorglass with internal grills and ventlite doorglass. The company grew quickly, adding new plants and distribution centers to its portfolio. As the door and window manufacturing sector has evolved, the company has skillfully positioned itself as a key player in the competitive U.S. market.

With more than 1,500 employees, Novatech manufactures a diverse range of products, including steel doors, a variety of doorglass options and patio doors, offered in PVC, hybrid and aluminum.

The company’s modern facilities cover a combined area of more than 1 million square feet, including specialized locations focused on high-volume frame production and the manufacturing of impact-resistant doorglass.

As the research and development team continually challenges itself, Novatech has recently re-engineered one of its flagship products: the ventlite doorglass. The latest version of this classic, the Peak 470, now reaches 540 pascals (11.25 psf) — making it the only product in North America to achieve this level of performance.

With a strong focus on quality, innovation and customer satisfaction, Novatech has leveraged its recent expansions and acquisitions to offer a comprehensive product line that meets the diverse needs of door and window suppliers nationwide

Tony Margiotta, president of Novatech Patio Doors, says his company’s strategy for success involves its products, employees and its ability to acquire companies with strong leadership teams.

“It starts with the acquisition and the growth strategy,” he explains. “Harold Savard, president and CEO of Novatech, told me, ‘Tony, we buy companies that have a good management team and try to expand and exploit that.’ They’re looking at the team. From the team, you get the best practices. It’s not Novatech with an ego; it’s more of let’s share the best practices to do right by our employees and customers.”

Expanded Network to Support Rapid Lead Times

Novatech has long been a trusted name in the industry. Its commitment to innovation and design-forward products inspired by European aesthetics sets it apart from its competitors. It is well equipped to serve the U.S. market with high-quality products and rapid lead times with 16 manufacturing plants across North America, including facilities in Ohio, Virginia and New Jersey.

Novatech’s acquisition of RSL, a U.S.-based doorglass manufacturer, is a testament to its dedication to expanding its market reach. The acquisition enhances its product offerings and aligns perfectly with its company values and culture. By integrating RSL’s doorglass expertise with its product lines, Novatech is a versatile, one-stop shop for suppliers of doors and windows in the U.S.

“We blended the companies together to present a unified front to our customers. I think we succeeded in that,” says Kevin Kavanagh, vice president of sales.

Today, Novatech produces doorglass from plants in Austintown, Ohio, and Egg Harbor Township, N.J., and patio doors from Ridgeway, Va. It also has two distribution centers in Atlanta and Dallas.

Novatech remains deeply committed to its customers as it continues to expand its presence. By operating under a unified brand, it aims to present itself as a comprehensive and credible supplier within the door and window manufacturing industry.

Customer-First Approach

Novatech is a quality-driven company that has been around for more than 40 years.

“We’ve always hung our hat on quality and service,” says Kavanagh. “We also have some of the best warranties in the nation.”

With a significant manufacturing footprint and a commitment to innovation, Novatech is well positioned to serve as a new or alternative supplier for door and window manufacturers across the U.S. The company’s comprehensive offerings are designed to enhance customers’ product lines, providing a valuable alternative to current primary suppliers or enabling them to diversify their own offerings.

Novatech’s products are designed to meet the changing energy needs of U.S. customers. They feature energy-efficient designs and materials, including products that meet Energy Star requirements and are tailored to withstand diverse climates. The company’s presence in regions such as Florida, where hurricane impact-resistant products are essential, further underscores its commitment to serving the specific needs of its customers.

Katie Sponseller, a company product designer, says innovation is central to the company’s success. In fact, Novatech boasts multiple research and development centers.

“We ensure we come to market with high-quality products, creativity and strong innovation,” says Sponseller. “That also reflects in design. Our doorglass portfolio offers a diverse range, including a complete selection of silkscreen, v-groove and stained-glass options. Our clients, retailers and builders define us as unique because we are trendsetters. We are leading the industry with innovation and a wide selection of unique designs based on our customers’ wants, needs and what is up-and-coming in architectural trends.”
