Public speaking is one of the most common fears for people around the world. But with training through NAHB’s Train the Trainer instructor-led course, you can learn to conquer it — and eventually, teach your own NAHB educational courses.

Led by Gian Hasbrock, CAPS, CGP, Master CSP, MIRM, Train the Trainer is designed for industry professionals with no formal education in training — or trainers who are looking to perfect their craft — to improve their classroom training skills. The course will be held at the start of the Spring Leadership Meeting on June 11 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the National Housing Center.

“This course is the most activity-rich course of any that NAHB teaches, which is a testament to how adults learn — by doing,” said Hasbrock, president of WOWISM.

Paired with the recently waived education license fees, participating in the Train the Trainer course is a great way for members of the Federation to obtain the expertise needed to become an instructor, and in turn, create non-dues revenue for their HBAs.

The course will cover the tools you’ll need to be successful in not just understanding in-depth industry information, but how to share that knowledge with others.

“Education — along with advocacy and networking — is one of the building blocks that makes the foundation of our Association,” said Hasbrock. “We rely on each generation of instructors to pass the torch.”

NAHB Continuing Education: Six credit hours for: CAPS, CGA, CGB, CGP, CGR, CMP, CSP, GMB, GMR, Master CGP, Master CSP, MIRM

Special note: If you’re taking Train the Trainer to become an NAHB instructor, please contact Tatiana Molina to inquire about registering for the course at a reduced price.
