How NAHB Members Can Learn, Save and Network at IBS 2024
NAHB members have several opportunities to learn, save, and network using their exclusive member access at the upcoming 2024 NAHB International Builders’ Show® (IBS) in Las Vegas.
Here are some can’t-miss events to put on the calendar.
NAHB HQ
NAHB HQ (located in the Central Hall next to the IBS Store) is the place for members to relax, learn from industry professionals, and network with peers from all over the world.
Each day, members can:
- Enjoy free coffee and fresh doughnuts from 8-9 a.m. PT.
- Recharge phones and relax on comfortable couches in a new members-only area.
- Attend happy hours and $500 gift card drawings from 3:30-5 p.m. PT (Wednesday and Thursday only).
Special Events:
- NAHB HQ will also host a series of informative sessions geared toward young professionals on pricing contracts for a construction company (Tuesday), AI for home builders (Wednesday), and a trivia showdown (Thursday). Each session will take place from 2-2:30 p.m. PT and is open to all IBS attendees.

Learn from the Leaders
NAHB members have a chance to hear directly from NAHB President and CEO Jim Tobin and Chief Economist Robert Dietz during the NAHB Meeting of the Members. Tobin will discuss his insights on what the 2024 presidential election will mean for housing, and Dietz will share his predictions for the economy in 2024 and beyond.

Meet the Professional Women in Building (PWB) Council

Building Material Prices Continue to Rise Despite Energy Price DeclinesResidential building material prices, excluding energy, rose 0.5% in June and were up 4.6% from a year ago. Lower energy prices were apparent in June, as energy input prices fell 10.3% over the month. Meanwhile, prices for services rose 5.2% over the year, and were up 1.0% from the previous month.
