National Log Homes Open House Month Celebrates 11 Years of Log Home Heritage
This July marks the 11th annual National Log Homes Open House Month. NAHB Log and Timber Homes Council members and builders across the nation observe the event throughout the month with home tours, log-raising demonstrations, mill tours, seminars and more to educate consumers on this unique building system.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, log-home companies also utilized a number of digital tools to help engage customers who might be considering log or timber homes, which continue to be a valuable educational tool for consumers.
“National Log Homes Open House Month is a terrific opportunity for members of the Log and Timber Homes Council to share their passion for precision crafted, energy efficient housing with the general public,” said Log and Timber Homes Council Chairman Chris Stitcher of Golden Eagle Log & Timber Homes. “Whether through in-person events or virtual engagements, the Log and Timber Homes Council and its members always look forward to celebrating log and timber frame construction throughout the entire month of July.”
Consumers can visit loghomes.org, produced by NAHB’s Log and Timber Homes Council, for a variety of resources and inspiration to help them build their dream log or timber home, including a calendar of events for upcoming open houses.
