Prominent Remodeler Geep Moore to Be Inducted Into the National Remodeling Hall of Fame

NAHB Remodelers will induct George “Geep” Moore, CR, CAPS, CGR, GMB, CGP, GMR, a remodeler and owner of Moore-Built Construction & Restoration in Elm Grove, La., into the National Remodeling Hall of Fame for his contributions to the remodeling industry. Moore will be recognized on Feb. 6 at the NAHB Remodelers Awards and Recognition meeting, held in conjunction with the NAHB International Builders’ Show® (IBS) in Orlando.

“As a long-time member of NAHB and NAHB Remodelers, Geep has made a significant impact on the remodeling industry at the local, state and national levels,” said 2021 NAHB Remodelers Chair Steven Cunningham, CAPS, CGP. “He leads by example and inspires others to serve in leadership roles in the remodeling industry. It’s an honor to induct Geep into the National Remodeling Hall of Fame and recognize his contributions to our industry during his 50 years of industry experience.”

Moore has been an NAHB member since 1987 and NAHB Remodelers member since 2003. He has served in numerous leadership roles at the local, state and national levels. His roles at the Home Builders Association of Northwest Louisiana (NWLAHBA) and the Louisiana Home Builders Association included president, board member, life director and chair of the remodelers council. For NAHB, he also served as moderator of the State Representatives, NAHB Leading Suppliers Council chair, NAHB Environmental Issues Committee chair and NAHB Remodelers chair.

For his service, Moore has been recognized with many honors, including the John Gentry Award of Excellence and Remodeler of the Year award from the Louisiana Home Builders Association. The NWLAHBA recognized him with awards including the Member of the Year, Builder of the Year, and the President’s Choice Award. He is also a recipient of NAHB’s Graduate Master Remodeler Award.

In addition to his multi-faceted company and broad range of industry expertise, Moore developed a structural drying business and helped negotiate thousands of insurance claims on his clients’ behalf as a component of his property damage repair services. He is also an expert in mold remediation and in 1992 began providing forensic construction consulting for construction problems and defects.
