2021 IBSx ‘Best in Show’ Winner Announced
NAHB’s Best of IBSx Awards showcased new products from IBSx exhibitors and spotlighted innovative products from companies around the world. In addition to selecting winners from key product categories, the program also awarded a “Best in Show” to highlight the judges’ top pick from among the products entered.
This year’s winner brought game-changing updates to a paramount home feature: windows. Initially recognized as the Best Window & Door Product, the Easy Slide Operator by Pella Windows replaces the traditional crank to open and close casement and awning windows with a patent-pending slide mechanism that makes windows easier to operate.
“When you think about how products change over time, previously, for this type of window, the only option was the crank,” noted one IBSx judge. “Nobody has really improved that function in a long while. So it’s a big step forward in technology.”
The following products were also recognized:
- Best Home Technology Product/Best Indoor Product: 36-inch Dual Fuel Pro Range with Sous Vide, Induction and Gas by Signature Kitchen Suite
- Best Outdoor Product: Axis Smart Glass Bioclimatic System by Suntech-Albayrak Group
- Most Innovative Building Material: ASCEND Composite Cladding System by Alside
- Most Innovative Software: AeroBarrier Connect by Aeroseal
