The House Wednesday night unanimously approved an extension of the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) through Aug. 8. The Senate voted Tuesday night to extend the program, just hours before it was set to expire at midnight. The program currently has more than $130 billion remaining for the forgivable loans.

President Trump signed the bill on July 4.

NAHB continues to advocate for an expansion of the eligibility requirements to allow more small businesses in the residential construction sector and 501(c)(6) organizations to access the loan program.
