Systems-Built Companies Showcase Top Design and Marketing
The 2020 best systems-built homes, industry professionals and marketing initiatives were recognized at the 2019 Building Systems Housing Summit in Pittsburgh. Named after a longtime council supporter and champion of the off-site construction industry, the Building Systems Councils’ (BSC) Jerry Rouleau Awards for Excellence in Home Design and Marketing were handed out in 21 categories.
This year’s home design winners showcased the excellence in design and flexibility offered by systems-built construction. The 2020 home design honorees highlighted diversity of the industry. See all of the 2020 home design honorees.
On the marketing side, entries for social media outreach, website design, print advertisement, presentation of home plans and brochures impressed the judges. See all of the 2020 marketing honorees.
“The Building Systems Councils’ awards prestigiously showcase the nation’s best work in systems-built construction,” said Ken Semler, the 2019 Chair of the Building Systems Councils. “’s commitment to recognizing these companies’ and individuals’ successes has been demonstrated by its award winners since the competition’s inception.”
In addition to the Jerry Rouleau Awards, the BSC Specialty Awards were also presented at the Summit.
Honoring a council member as manufacturer, builder, associate and young professional of the year, the specialty awards were given to:
- Builder of the Year: Ken Semler, Express Modular
- Manufacturer of the Year: Gerry McCaughey, Entekra
- Associate of the Year: Brian Sielaff, Tamarack Grove Engineering
- One to Watch Award: Sarah Smith, Blue Ridge Log Cabins
