Policymakers Urge Action on Lumber from U.S.Trade Representative

Policymakers questioned U.S. Trade Rep. Katherine Tai about the Biden administration’s plans to address rising lumber prices during Congressional hearings May 12-13, 2021. Tai told Senate lawmakers that she would “push for solutions to the lumber pricing issues” and address the issue of tariffs on Canadian softwood lumber imports into the United States.
