Solar External Resources

There are lots of solar resources available industrywide. Here is a list of a few you may find helpful:

  • Looking for available rebates and other incentives in your area? This database for renewable energy keeps track of state policies and incentives.
  • If your customers are interested in solar and are looking for more information, the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) maintains this publicly available Residential Consumer Guide to Solar Power.
  • The Solar Foundation, a national non-profit located in DC, works with the International City/County Management Association (ICMA) and the Department of Energy Solar Energy Technologies Office to run the SolSmart Program, helping local governments reduce soft costs (such as expensive permitting requirements) for solar.
