ORLANDO BAGCAL at University of North Texas More about ORLANDO BAGCAL Dr. Orlando Bagcal has a combined professional industry and academic experience for more than 30 years in civil engineering and construction management with the last 20 years in the US higher education. In 2023, Dr. Bagcal joined the College of Engineering at the University of North Texas as faculty member in the Mechanical Engineering Department. Prior to joining UNT in teaching both graduate and undergraduate courses; he was a tenured associate professor and coordinator of the Construction Management program for more than 10 years at Tarrant County College (TCC) in Fort Worth, Texas; a tenured associate professor of Construction Science and Management at Tarleton State University (TSU – TAMU System) for 5 years; and at Collin College for more than 1 year. Before migrating to the US in 2004, Dr. Bagcal served as the Department Head of Civil and Sanitary Engineering for 6 years in various institutions in the Philippines. He has a master’s degree in civil engineering from Australia; doctorate degree in Technology (Civil) and bachelor’s in civil engineering both from the Philippines. In 2023, he completed the Post Graduate Program in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML) at the University of Texas at Austin, McCombs School of Business. He is a Texas Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) and Registered Civil and Geodetic Engineers in the Philippines. He received the NAHB designation as Certified Green Professional in 2017 and the Associate Design Build Institute of America (DBIA) Professional in 2021.
