Residential Construction Career Day is an annual event that brings students and instructors from vocational and technical educational institutions together to learn about opportunities in the construction industry and related trades. In 2022, over 500 students attended the event and the HBA was able to secure over 40 vendors and members to contribute as well as assist in building relationships.

The purpose of Residential Construction Career Day is to build on the HBA’s Workforce Development Handbook. The HBA’s goal is to introduce students to high paying, lucrative jobs available in the industry and related trades. Additionally, the HBA expands on all aspects of the industry including but not limited to marketing, finance, hands on experiences and more. The HBA searches for an eclectic mix of exhibitors and vendors that can bring all these aspects together for a fun learning experience for students.
