Applications to serve as the next National Associate Chair (NAC) are now open through Sunday, July 14.

NACs play an integral role in the Federation as they work closely with Senior Officers of the board to augment communications between NAHB, its leaders, and its members.

“As a NAC, you will be in a pivotal position to represent Associate members of NAHB in governance and program discussions,” said Monica Sommerfeldt Lewis, who previously served as a NAC. “Your presence can help ensure all member voices are heard and NAHB delivers the best for all members.”

NAHB has two Associate NACs who each serve two-year terms, staggered so only one new NAC is introduced each year. Associate NACs are elected by the Board of Directors during the Leadership Meeting in conjunction with the International Builders’ Show.

“Concerned Associates need to be involved in the governance of our Federation,” said Sommerfeldt Lewis. “You won’t know what opportunities and challenges are coming, but if you are there, you can make a difference.”

Note that Associate NACs are not selected based on geography and must be Associate members.

If you or someone you know is interested in applying for the National Associate Chair position, please submit this form.
