The CDC’s National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) is hosting a free webinar on Wednesday, April 21 at 2 p.m. ET, to address the importance of the COVID-19 vaccines in the construction industry. The webinar is a part of COVID-19 Vaccine Awareness Week in Construction.

Scott Earnest, PhD, PE, CSP, Director, NIOSH Office of Construction Safety and Health will provide an introduction and Dr. Margaret Kitt, MPH, MD, Deputy Director at NIOSH, will share information on what we know about the current COVID-19 vaccines. Participants also will learn about how and where construction workers may get vaccinated.

Importantly, the panelists will also address questions from participants. Anyone who registers can submit a question in advance of the webinar and there may be an opportunity for Q&A at the end, time permitting.

“This is a fantastic chance for home building professionals to hear directly from the experts about why vaccination is so important,” said Gary Hill, Chair, NAHB Construction Safety and Health Committee. “I urge members who may have reservations about vaccination to hear the science and ask questions.”

Register now for the free webinar, and if you have any questions, be sure to include them in the box provided. We can see the light at the end of the tunnel of this pandemic; let’s do our part to help the country return to normal. For any questions about Vaccine Awareness Week or the webinar, please contact Rob Matuga.
