Application Analyst/Developer

NAHB is seeking an experienced Application Analyst/Developer who will contribute to a wide range of NAHB projects and products either independently or part of a team. The Application Analyst/Developer may lead efforts to sustain and improve NAHB business systems. Consultant Advisory Services

Director, Housing for Expositions and Meetings

NAHB is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented and enthusiastic customer service-focused Director of Housing to manage all aspects of housing for the International Builders' Show (IBS), NAHB's Spring and Fall Leadership Meetings (SLM and FLM) and NAHB's in-town housing needs for meetings held in Washington, D.C. Director HBA Leadership Training and Development

Federal Legislative Director

NAHB is seeking an experienced lobbyist to advocate for the housing industry on Capitol Hill and in Washington, DC, on workforce and labor issues, including immigration reform, workforce development and workplace safety, as well as all other NAHB priority issues in a general manner.

Federal Legislative Manager

NAHB is seeking a professional who develops and maintains an active presence and working relationships on Capitol Hill and within the Administration and White House for NAHB through:

Manager, BUILD-PAC Fundraising

Program and Meetings Facilitator, 20 Clubs

NAHB seeks a program and meetings facilitator with high-level customer services skills as well as the ability to manage committee meetings and maintain quality standards while meeting deadlines under a heavy workload. NAHB offers its members a unique networking opportunity (the 20 Clubs) through which they can determine and implement best management practices, systems, and solutions to run their businesses more effectively and profitably. The program and meetings facilitator is responsible for working in collaboration with in-house meeting planners and NAHB members to ensure appropriate on-site meeting logistics, a meaningful agenda, and a smooth event.

The program and meetings facilitator will travel to approximately 20 meetings annually to lead the club meetings according to plans, serve as a resource to club members on-site, and serve as a liaison with hotel, restaurants, transportation services and speakers. Follow-through includes the development of meeting minutes notes, and various management reports.

This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Facilitators will experience extended travel times out of the office and need to demonstrate the ability to work well remotely while on the road. Program Manager, Sustainability and Green Building

Web Coordinator

  • Website content workbox approvals
  • Maintenance of the departmental email mailbox
  • Standards-based quality assurance of web content
  • Management of updates to the WordPress platform
  • Internal and external communications with website stakeholders
  • Analytics research support

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, specifically in a web service position.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Highly organized, especially with digital information.
  • Candidates should be able to see the web through the target audience.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of one year of web content management experience with an emphasis on web communications, CMS tools, and content organization.
  • Technical requirements include experience with Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics.
  • Strong working knowledge of the website production process, including graphics creation and optimization, web page production, web analytics and search engine optimization (SEO).
  • Knowledge of HTML and CSS.
  • Basic knowledge of Google Analytics, Sitecore CMS, design principles and usability is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Computer Science, or a related field, or the equivalent in education and experience.

Group: Communications and Public Affairs

NAHB seeks a motivated and creative writer to work collaboratively with the Communications team on the development, reporting, writing, repurposing and editing of a broad range of content relating to the housing industry for the NAHB website, its blog and other communications channels. The overall goal is to help showcase the value of NAHB to our members and enhance communications about NAHB’s positive impact within the home building and remodeling industries.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentations, press releases, reports, copywriting, editing, and a keen familiarity with writing for the web.
  • Ability to work with diverse professionals from various fields – including legislative, legal, technical and economic – to understand highly complex issues and plan media strategies to communicate NAHB’s policies.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Proficiency with email management programs and web content management tools, including a basic knowledge of photo editing software.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum of two years of in-depth experience on website content creation and optimization; experience writing for traditional, online and social media channels
  • Background in public relations/issues advocacy in the housing and/or real estate fields.
  • Knowledge of web communications.
  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications or related field, or equivalent in education and experience.
