More about Phil Kean
Growing up the son of a contractor, Phil Kean aspired to be an architect from the age of 11. He studied at prestigious Harvard University and Washington University earning a Masters of Architecture (MArch) and Masters of Business Administration (MBA). Phil is a Licensed Architect (AR95091), Certified Residential Contractor (CRC1327855), Licensed Interior Designer (IB26001665), and Certified Green Professional. The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) named him “National Custom Home Builder of the Year”, 2013.
Designing homes for clients all over the world, Phil has differentiated his work with thoughtful, functional designs that include an extraordinary attention to design detail. An expert at seamless transitions of indoor and outdoor living spaces and sustainable design, Phil's projects have received numerous design awards and international recognition. From modern to traditional to island-inspired designs, Phil creates custom, luxury residences that exceed his clients' highest expectations.
Phil is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), American Institute of Building Design (AIBD), American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), Greater Orlando Builders Association (GOBA), U.S. Green Building Council Central Florida Chapter, Florida Green Building Coalition, and is the Immediate Past President of Orlando's Master Custom Builder Council. He currently serves on the NAHB Leading Suppliers Council, NAHB Builder 20 Group, City of Winter Park's Historic Preservation Board, and serves on the UCF's Foundation Board of Directors. His works have been featured in many publications including Florida Architecture, Florida Design, Atomic Ranch and on Dwell and Architectural Digest’s websites.
