Laura is an Insights leader, passionate about helping businesses better understand their consumers and customers through synthesis of qualitative and quantitative learnings. A biotechnology research scientist by training, Laura has taken her love of turning research findings into real world speak that guides strategic decision-making and action with the consumer at its heart to a wide range of industries including CPG (General Mills, Land O’Lakes), retail (Walmart) and technology (Amazon, Zillow Group).
She currently leads the Consumer and Customer Insights Team at Zillow Group, a company building the largest, most trusted and vibrant home-related marketplace in the world, growing the team from 4 researchers to 16 in a year. This team oversaw the insights development that led Zillow Group into the home buying business and the mortgage business, among other initiatives, by blending traditional research methodologies from the CPG and retail world with new methodologies that have been developed in the technology space.
