Working in the construction industry can sometimes be dangerous. Work-related accidents can cause serious injuries and even death. But most of them are preventable.

NAHB provides a number of educational resources, safety training materials, and news updates to help members learn what they need to know about construction safety, keep informed about proposed safety standards comply with existing regulations, and provide training to their employees.

In addition, NAHB’s Construction Safety & Health Committee coordinates and informs members about the association’s legislative and regulatory activities related to jobsite safety, OSHA regulations and workers’ compensation. OSHA's final crystalline silica rule, its recently revised recordkeeping rule and fall protection continue to be top safety-related issues for NAHB.

The toolkits provided in this section are intended to help educate employers and workers on the various safety and health hazards the industry faces today on the jobsite, and to better understand and comply with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements.
