To maintain your Certified Green Professional (CGP) designation, you must complete 12 hours of building/remodeling industry-related continuing education every three years. A minimum of eight hours must come from green building industry-related educational activities.

If NAHB Education has requested proof of CE hours, please complete and submit the form below. If you have renewed your CGP designation on time, you are not required to complete the form and provide verification.

Do not submit your form unless you have completed all of the CE requirements.

If your form is incomplete or your CE hours do not qualify, you will have 30 days to satisfy the continuing education requirements. Failure to complete requirements by this date will result in the suspension of your CGP designation.

Building/Remodeling Industry Education

Designees must provide proof of attendance for each activity or event they completed. All CGP continuing education must be completed during the period for which it applies.

1. Complete an NAHB Education course, NAHB e-learning event or education session at the International Builders' Show. (Maximum limit of six CE hours over the past three years)

2. Teach an NAHB Education course and/or serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for an NAHB Education course. (Maximum of six CE hours over the past three years)

3. Be an active member of a Builder or Remodeler 20 Club. (Maximum of three CE hours over the past three years)

Please list the name of your Builder or Remodeler 20 Club and the year you joined.

4. Successfully earn another NAHB designation and/or other building/remodeling industry-related designation. (Maximum limit of three CE hours over the past three years)

Please list all NAHB or other professional designations earned over the past three years, including the sponsoring organization and year the designation was achieved.

5. Complete a business management or building/remodeling industry-related course or seminar or e-learning event conducted by a college, university, technical school, HBI or other professional organization. (Maximum limit of six CE hours over the past three years)

6. Complete manufacturer product training-includes sponsored education or business or installation techniques, facility tours, fabrication process demonstrations or product demonstrations. (Maximum of three CE hours over the past three years)

7. Purchase and read a BuilderBooks publication or title. BuilderBooks titles must be remodeling industry-related topic area. (One hour CE credit for every book, with a maximum of three hours over the past three years).

8. Win a local, regional, state or national green building award. State/Regional Award - two credit hours; National Award - three credit hours. (A maximum of six hours from awards is allowed over the past three years.)
