Minutes with a Member Town Hall Banner

Date: Tuesday, August 18, 2020

Time: 2:00 p.m. ET

Speaker: Senator Todd Young (R-IN) is Indiana’s senior Senator. Prior to becoming a Senator, he served in the U.S. House of Representatives for six years. Senator Young was elected by his colleagues to serve as the Chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) during the 2020 election cycle. The NRSC recruits candidates to run for Senate office and raises contributions to support those candidates. He serves on the Committees on Finance; Foreign Relations; Commerce, Science & Transportation; and Small Business and Entrepreneurship. A long-time champion of housing, Senator Young is the lead Republican sponsor of legislation to strengthen the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) to meet the nation’s affordable housing needs, as well as the lead Senate Republican on legislation, the Yes in My Backyard (YIMBY) Act, that will help address a key impediment to housing affordability – overly restrictive local land use policies.

Minutes with a Member is a virtual series that gives BUILD-PAC donors an opportunity to connect with a member of Congress who is making decisions every day that impact your business. Special guests will include Defenders of Housing and members who sit on key committees and subcommittees important to the housing industry.
