It’s been a couple of months since the Wells Fargo team returned from Orlando, but we’re still buzzing about the incredible experience we had in Orlando. The NAHB team orchestrated one of the best engagements we can remember, and we’re so grateful to the team and all the attendees for making IBS 2022 so special. The show underscored the fact that attending IBS and participating in Nationals isn’t just good for your business – it’s also a rewarding experience.
Our takeaways from this year’s show centered on three things: education, networking, and excitement about this incredible industry’s future.
First, the educational opportunities at IBS 2022 were truly second to none. In addition to learning about programs that can help your clients and protect your pipeline, like Wells Fargo’s Builder Best® extended rate lock, attendees also had a chance to hear from innovators in construction about the latest in everything from architectural design to windows, doors, and decking. Taken alongside sessions focused on marketing, sales, and so much more, the opportunities to learn about our industry were almost overwhelming – and highly invigorating.
The time spent networking with peers across our industry was also incredibly valuable. After two years spent behind our laptops, attendees benefitted greatly from the chance to simply get together and talk about the work we do.
The opportunities at various engagements like Sales Central, Professional Women in Building Central, and more were phenomenal, and we greatly enjoyed spending time with the best and the brightest in our industry while in Orlando. Learning about the 100% women-built home in Utah was particularly inspiring, and we loved visiting with Mollie Elkman, one of the great minds (alongside illustrator Georgia Castellano) of the wonderful children’s book “The House that She Built.”
Perhaps most of all, IBS 2022 was a success because it reinforced our shared excitement for the industry’s future. We’re in the midst of a remarkable period in the history of the housing market, and IBS 2022 was a reminder that the companies and people who make up our industry are focused on doing our absolute best work as the market evolves.
To the team at NAHB, thank you for putting on a great show. We can’t wait to see you again at IBS 2023!
