Rochester Homes recently rolled out a promotion on two social media platforms, Facebook and Instagram. It promoted both a Facebook release video and three Instagram posts. The concept for the Facebook post was simple. Because its target market responds better to photos and videos, Rochester Homes created a short video that showcases a few of Samsung’s major appliances. The post reached a total of 15,829 viewers. With a minimal investment of $100, it significantly boosted the video post, as well as our Facebook page, with a total of 7.2K views.
In the Instagram campaign, Rochester Homes took a more creative approach with minimal investment. It created three images that were published minutes apart on the same day. The first two posts led to the final post announcing its partnership with Samsung appliances. That last image included a call-to-action asking followers to visit the link highlighted in the description. These teaser posts incited viewers to view the company’s profile to see what the three images were — an oversized Samsung logo. In addition, Rochester Homes used hashtags that pertained not only to Samsung appliances, but also to home building and the locations where it builds. On the promoted image, it reached 1,299 people, 94% of whom were new followers.
