Steve Hoffacker is a veteran of over 30 years in the new home sales industry, and for the past 10 years has been a highly regarded instructor of the Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (“CAPS”) designation program — a cooperative education effort between the NAHB and AARP. At the 2016 International Builders Show in Las Vegas, Steve was recognized as the “CAPS Educator of the Year” for 2015.
Steve has successfully graduated several hundred CAPS designees from across North America among many different disciplines, such as contractors, OTs, PTs, other medical professionals, designers, architects, DME providers, builders, real estate agents, attorneys, non-profit organizations, governmental agencies, university faculty, and several additional types of professionals.
Steve is a past National Director of NAHB, Life Trustee of the Florida SMC, Life Director of GCBA, and recipient of "Trina Ripley Excellence in Education Award," "IRM President's Award" for educational excellence, and the "William 'Bill' Molster Award" for lifetime sales education achievement.
He has authored several books, including some that made the best-selling list on Amazon Kindle, on new home sales, universal design, and aging-in-place.
