Born and residing in Cleveland, Ohio Jim has been actively involved in the sound control market for over 20 years. Pioneering the use of an “entangled net” product for improving the performance of flooring systems with gypsum underlayments, and in walls and ceilings has been one of the main responsibilities during his most recent tenure with KEENE BUILDING PRODUCTS. In that role, Jim began as an importer of materials from Europe but reversed the common trend and started a manufacturing plant in the USA. KBP is one of two entangled net manufacturers in North America. Educated at Ball State University, Jim worked in many aspects of noise, concrete and audio/video markets. He holds numerous patents and many applications pending for noise and moisture management solutions in construction.
