As Vice-President of Corporate Marketing at William Lyon Homes, Janet Kemmerer’s homebuilding career spans more than twenty- four years. Janet has a passion for people and a love of marketing. Her primary role is creating new marketing strategies to better understand its’ core consumer segments, and effectively reach and connect with prospective new customers. In addition, she is responsible for communicating and managing brand guidelines and strategies to support and promote the company’s brand voice and values across the organization.
Prior to joining the William Lyon Homes, Janet served West Coast Regional Vice- President of Marketing with Centex Homes. In 2009, she took on a more global role serving as National Marketing Director at Centex Corporate Headquarters based in Dallas, Texas overseeing all off-line operational marketing efforts to support Centex divisions throughout the U.S.
With a Business of Science Degree in Psychology combined with completing the MIRM (Marketing in Residential Building) certificate program at U.C. Irvine, Janet has applied her educational acumen with extensive work experience to better understand core consumer segments and implement new marketing strategies leveraging technology targeting specific consumer segments and improve their overall homebuying experience.
Early into her career Janet was recognized by her peers as “Marketing Director of The Year” by the Southern California Sales & Marketing Council. She has served on several advisory boards over the years including “Professional Women in Building / BIASC”. and SoCal Awards for Southern California to name a few.
