David VanderWaal is the senior vice president of marketing for LG Electronics USA. In his role, he is responsible for brand marketing strategy and executions across LG Home Appliances, Consumer Electronics, and Mobile Phones in the United States, which includes the development of LG’s annual marketing plan and full responsibility for LG’s multi-million dollar US marketing budget.
David joined LG in 2007 and initially led LG’s award-winning U.S. in-store marketing efforts for LG home appliances. His three decades of industry experience includes spearheading marketing strategies for such top brands such as Sprint, Hallmark, Maytag, Jenn-Air and Amana.
In addition to leading countless award-winning LG marketing campaigns, he was inducted into the Shopper Marketing Hall of Fame and the Point of Purchase Advertising International (POPAI) Hall of Fame. He also accepted LG's POPAI Chief Award, recognizing effective and innovative use of retail marketing in overall marketing strategies, demonstrating deep understanding of shopper behavior, and adhering to the highest business standards.
