Barry L. Glantz, AIA was formerly the President of Glantz & Associates Architects, an award-winning, residential architectural design firm. Mr. Glantz’s company was purchased in 2013 by McBride and Son Homes (St. Louis’s largest homebuilder) where he serves as Vice President of Architecture.
A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor of architecture degree, Mr. Glantz is a member of the National Association of Home Builders Board of Directors, and previously served on its Design Committee. He also formerly served on the Board of Directors of the Home Builders Association of St. Louis & Eastern Missouri, including two terms as vice president of the organization.
Recognized as one of the top national experts in his field, Mr. Glantz is often requested to judge the most prestigious nationwide residential architectural design competitions, including the well-known Best in American Living Awards. In addition, Mr. Glantz annually assesses plans for home builders around the country, serving as a member of the Plan Review Panel at the NAHB International Builders Show.
Active in governmental affairs, Mr. Glantz served on the Creve Coeur City Council from 1992-2000; serving as Council President in 1996-1997. In addition, he was appointed to the Creve Coeur Planning & Zoning Commission from 2001-2011.
In April, 2012 - Mr. Glantz was first elected Mayor of the City of Creve Coeur, MO. He was re-elected in April, 2015.
Mr. Glantz also currently serves on the St. Louis County Building Commission, Advisory Board at Enterprise Bank and is immediate Past President of the Municipal League of Metro St. Louis. In the April, 2013 issue of St. Louis Small Business Monthly, he was named one of the top 100 St. Louisans to know.
