The 20 Club program is supported, in part, by several highly respected corporate sponsors. Once you complete the builder or remodeler application, NAHB 20 Clubs staff submit it to each of the clubs for review. Providing them with comparative data such as dollar volume, home square footage, location, units sold and market area helps the clubs determine whether you would be a good fit for their group.
Once a club identifies you as a possible match, its leadership will contact you for an interview. The interview helps them decide whether you should be invited to their next meeting.
If you are invited, you will be provided with an agenda and details for your initial 20 Club meeting. In addition, you'll gain access to the Invited Member Section on the website where you can see FAQs about the 20 Club program, Introduction to Financials (one of the biggest member benefits) and other materials to help you prepare for your first meeting.
At your first meeting, if you and the club determine that the club is a good fit, you may find yourself invited to join that club on a more permanent basis. Or you may fit best with another group.
When deciding to join a 20 Club, first ask yourself if you would ever bounce that great $10,000 idea with your local competitor. You probably wouldn't, but with your fellow 20 Club members, you would. Even more, your fellow members will be sharing their $10,000 ideas with you as well.
