Competent Person Training: Excavation & Trenching

Industry professionals should come together in this class and collaborate to identify existing or predictable hazards in your jobsite surroundings that may be unsanitary, hazardous or dangerous to employees. Learn to evaluate prompt corrective measures to immediately eliminate any dangers. As the industry professional, you must be knowledgeable in the most recent designs to help you identify what positions, by nature, will be the authorization or authority of the requirements of this portion. Review many requirements in WAC 296-155-Part N. Also gain additional knowledge including shoring, shielding, benching and sloping requirements, as well as soil identification and inspection requirements for trenches.
