Gain a broad understanding of the home building industry, better understand today’s consumers and learn advanced techniques used by real estate veterans for greeting prospects, overcoming objections and closing the sale.
Curriculum and Other Requirements
Students who began the CSP curriculum before Dec. 31, 2019, can complete either course work path listed below.
- Take the Certified New Home Sales Professional course
- Pass the accompanying test
Students who begin the CSP curriculum after Jan. 1, 2021, are required to complete the following.
- The New Home Sales Professional
- Understanding Today's New Home Buyer
- House Construction as a SellinOpens in a new windowg Tool (online)
The course fees are determined by the HBA or other institution offering the classes.

Continuing Education Requirements
NAHB designees are required to complete four hours or credits each year. Designees are NOT required to send in proof of continuing education (CE) earned at time of renewal.
