Learn How to Maximize Your NAHB Member Benefits at IBS
Learn how you can take advantage of exclusive benefits, including deep member savings, access to industry experts, unique networking opportunities and more at the NAHB HQ at the 2022 International Builders’ Show (IBS) this week in Orlando.
Members can fuel up for the day at NAHB HQ with coffee and donuts from 8-9 a.m., or unwind each afternoon from 3:30-5 p.m. at happy hour. Make sure to stop by daily before 4:15 p.m. to get your badge scanned for a chance to win a $500 gift card. Drawings will be held at 4:30 p.m. (Members must be present to win.)
Another exclusive NAHB member event this week is the Home Construction Industry Economic & Political Outlook, sponsored by Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, on Feb. 9 at 8:30 a.m. in the Valencia Ballroom. This session features guest speaker Rich Thau, president of Engagious, political updates from NAHB CEO Jerry Howard and the 2022 economic report from NAHB Chief Economist Dr. Robert Dietz.
The NEXT Lounge at NAHB HQ offers young professionals enrichment sessions daily at 2 p.m. to provide networking and education tips to boost your career. A special presentation on Wednesday, Feb. 9, will discuss how an all-women-built showcase home in Utah came together.
NAHB HQ is located in West Hall C of the Orange County Convention Center.
NAHB members are also invited to visit NAHB’s lumber display in space W32 in the West Hall B Lobby on Level 2, where builders and remodelers can indicate how much more they are paying for lumber now compared to what they were paying before the pandemic. Your participation will help NAHB send a loud and clear message to policymakers and the news media how skyrocketing lumber costs are affecting home building and new home prices — and put pressure on lumber producers to increase output to meet strong buyer demand. The display will be available from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. starting today through the end of the show on Thursday, Feb. 10.
Safe travels, and we’ll see you at the show!
