How to Become a Builders’ Show ‘Insider’
If you’re an NAHB member, like to be in-the-know and love the NAHB International Builders’ Show® (IBS), consider joining the IBS Ambassador Program.
The IBS Ambassador Program is a fun, exciting way for Builders’ Show experts to get IBS 2022 news first, and help fellow home builders association (HBA) members better understand the benefits of attending the show and everything it offers to boost their businesses and careers.
From being an HBA IBS spokesperson to connecting with other ambassadors from all over the country, the program offers the chance to contribute to the work NAHB is doing nationally and support your HBA locally.
Designers, builders, remodelers, architects and other residential construction industry professionals attend IBS to see the newest products in living color, and learn about the latest innovations and techniques. From providing personal tips that stem from years of navigating the show to sharing can’t-miss education sessions, speakers, demos and everything in between, IBS ambassadors are instrumental in maximizing the overall show experience for attendees.
“It was important for me to be an ambassador because I felt that I needed to have a position where I was able to gain information from NAHB and IBS, and carry it back to my local HBA,” said Kathy Browning of Design Consultants in Virginia Beach, Va. “I’ve attended the show for so many years, and I would come back and be very excited about education, contacts, new products, information from manufacturers, etc. I felt that members of our association locally were missing out on that.”
The ideal IBS ambassador is:
- An NAHB member in good standing
- A Builders’ Show veteran
- An IBS enthusiast who enjoys sharing personal experiences and helping others
IBS 2022 will take place Feb. 8-10 in Orlando. Registration opens Sept. 1.
