Election Day is finally upon us, and today is your last chance to make a difference on issues that matter to you and the housing industry.
Voting in person during a pandemic requires a few extra steps: Arrive to your polling place early, wear a face covering and maintain a safe distance of at least six feet while in line.
Now more than ever, it is important to elect pro-housing, pro-business candidates to Congress in order to ensure that the housing and economic recovery continue to move forward. NAHB endorses candidates who have shown a commitment to policies that promote homeownership and rental housing opportunities for all Americans.
This year, NAHB endorsed 159 candidates — 11 candidates for Senate and 148 for the House — and honored more than 40 congressmen with the Defender of Housing Award. Find out who the association is endorsing in your state or congressional district on nahb.org.
After you've voted, stay tuned — NAHB will provide a post-election analysis here tomorrow and in a special episode of the Housing Developments podcast with NAHB CEO Jerry Howard and Chief Lobbyist Jim Tobin.
