The International Builders' Show
(IBS) is the perfect time to brush up on all things membership and start your HBA's year off right. Learn how to grow your membership by attending the 2020 Membership Learning Labs during IBS next month.
Over the course of two days, executive officers, HBA staff and members are invited to join us for a variety of in-depth conversations on topics like member engagement, and successful recruiting and retention strategies. Attendees will also learn about what’s to come in 2020, including a deep-dive look into NAHB's new membership drive program and upcoming training opportunities.
Each of the 2020 Membership Learning Labs will be held in North 103 of the Las Vegas Convention Center. The labs include:
Hiding in Plain Sight:
Jan. 21, 10-11:30 a.m. How do you know where to find prospective members? This Learning Lab will give you an opportunity to hear from EOs who have got identifying leads and managing lists down to a science.
NAHB Presents...The 2020 Membership Drive:
Jan. 21, 2-3:30 p.m. With the 2020 NAHB Membership Drive, HBAs can participate in a net-growth challenge from Sept. 1 through Nov. 30, to win money for their association. This session will help you understand the ins and outs of the new drive program and the benefits it offers.
A Sneak Peek:
Jan. 22, 10-11:30 a.m. Two new training programs are now available to be delivered onsite at your HBA. This lab will share previews of the free "Guide to Growth" and "Rev up Retention" training modules so you can find out which would be a good fit for your HBA.
NAHB Rewards Program:
Jan. 22, 2-3:30 p.m. Do you earn points when you use your credit cards? Are you racking up miles as part of a frequent flyer program? The Membership Committee is working to take the longstanding Spike program in a direction similar to that of customer loyalty programs to increase engagement. During this session, we'd like to hear your feedback.
