Looking to learn about the latest in sustainable residential construction products, practices and certification options? Check out the highlights among the green building offerings at the International Builders’ Show (IBS) Jan. 21-23, 2020:
  • Grab a seat in the High Performance Building Zone, returning for a seventh year. Located in the North Hall and free to anyone with an Expo Hall Pass, it will feature continuous education throughout the show. Two stages will alternate between presentations on the latest in green building and hands-on live demonstrations by leading building science professionals showing you the latest methods, tips and tricks used in high performance building. Watch a "house" take shape as each session builds on the previous one.
  • Join us for the Green Beer and Banter afternoon networking sessions in the Zone at 3:30 p.m. On Wednesday, Jan. 22, the High Performance Product Trends Happy Hour features Joe Lstiburek and Peter Pfeiffer sharing their top finds from this year's show and discussing the best application practices for your next high-performance home. You'll hear about the must-see products and exhibitors, why they made the list and where you can find these items on the IBS exhibit floor.
  • Register for the Green Home Tour Wednesday, Jan. 22, from 7:30 a.m.-1:15 p.m. Explore Las Vegas’ green and energy-efficient residential market firsthand during a guided tour of two local single-family homes and one multifamily project. See two luxury, intelligent and efficient custom homes and discover how a builder incorporated whole-house automation, an electric vehicle (EV) charging station, photovoltaic solar panels and energy storage system. The final stop on the tour includes a luxury residential apartment community seeking certification that showcases popular green features and construction practices used in a desert climate.
  • Don't miss these education opportunities:
  • Pick up a free flash drive featuring a PDF of the ICC/ASHRAE 700-2015 National Green Building Standard (NGBS) at the Zone.
