As Associate Member Appreciation Month wraps up, NAHB looks toward the future of the home building industry at one Associate Member who has been going above and beyond. Chris Cowan, the 2018 One to Watch winner for the Associates Committee, is the senior manager of CohnReznick LLP in Eatontown, N.J., and a member of the Shore Builders Association of Central New Jersey. Cowan was one of the founding members of his local HBA’s Young Professionals Committee and currently serves as the chairman. "As an Associate member and a young professional in the industry, NAHB has been a valuable resource to assist in the growth of my career," said Cowan. "The educational opportunities NAHB provides is incredibly relevant industry topics, which allows me the information needed to best serve my clients. The ability to network, build relationships with, and learn from industry peers on a national level has been an amazing and rewarding experience." Cowan serves on several other committees at the local and state levels. His local Young Professionals Committee has created outreach programs such as “First Time Homebuyer,” and has been working with local vocational schools, high schools and colleges to provide guidance to students about careers in the home building industry.
