NAHB has received a $110,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to fight housing discrimination. "NAHB is pleased to be working with HUD to fight accessibility discrimination against persons with disabilities under the federal Fair Housing Act.," said NAHB Chairman Greg Ugalde. "The $110,000 grant will be used to educate developers and multifamily building owners and managers on the Fair Housing Act's accessibility requirements. Specifically, we will develop educational tools to help reduce the number of non-compliant structures and enhance accessibility for those in need."
