Councils and Committees
Offsite construction provides residential home builders with quick, efficient building solutions amid skilled labor shortages and rising material costs. But not all builders may be as familiar as they would like with systems-built components to begin incorporating them into their businesses. At next month's International Builders' Show, the Building Systems Council (BSC) Lounge — sponsored by Cobalt CreedHuber Engineered Woods, Mitsubishi Electric Cooling and Heating, and MiTek — provides ample educational opportunities for those who may not be sure what building systems entail, but are interested in learning more about them as a resource for the future. The lounge will be located in the Las Vegas Convention Center, North 242.
Building Systems 101
Each building system represented within the BSC will host an "ask the experts" panel to explain how each system works and how to integrate it into business operations. Wednesday, Feb. 20 Thursday, Feb. 21 One-on-one networking opportunities following each workshop are also beneficial to learn more about these unique components firsthand from industry professionals.
Offsite Construction Benefits and Trends
Systems-built technologies can be incorporated into projects in a variety of ways to suit home builders' needs and location. Learn how builders are implementing these systems during key educational workshops that will explore the financial and business aspects of this construction segment in the coming years. Home Innovation Research Labs will present data on how builders across the country look at these components and anticipate incorporating them into their business during The When and Where Offsite Construction Technologies Will Emerge workshop Thursday, Feb. 21 at 1:15 p.m. Margaret Whelan — one of the premier financial and strategic advisors to companies in the offsite construction industry — will also explain the financial benefits of incorporating offsite construction components into various projects, as well as who the key players in the industry are, at Show Me the Money: Capital Fueling Offsite Construction Tuesday, Feb. 19 at 10:30 a.m. Don't forget to connect with other systems-built professionals during the networking reception Tuesday, Feb. 19 at 4 p.m., to learn more. Hors d’oeuvres, beer and wine will be available. A full list of workshops and events for the BSC Lounge is available here. To learn more about the BSC, visit or contact Devin Perry.
