A Rec Room Fit for an Actual RV

But The New American Remodel 2019 is far from typical. Its version of the rec room crosses everything off that list, but with a big twist: it’s all located inside an enormous garage large enough to fit a motor home and other recreational vehicles. The show home is situated in an established, downtown-Las Vegas neighborhood where homes with large garages for boats and exotic cars are not uncommon. But Michael Gardner, owner of Studio G Architecture and builder of the show home, intentionally built the RV garage even larger than the neighbors' garages. [caption id="attachment_13945" align="alignleft" width="300"] The RV garage will be among the last components of the project to be completed, as until recently, it has primarily served as a convenient on-site storage unit for products going into the home.[/caption] “In this market, the ability to store large vehicles and equipment within a climate-controlled environment is critical,” Gardner said. “And in this neighborhood in particular, we felt [an expanded RV garage] was a great fit.” While the home also features a more typical three-car garage, the RV garage gives the home owner a variety of storage options for additional cars and even a workshop. The New American Remodel 2019 is in the final stretch of construction, and is set to make its official debut during the NAHB International Builders' Show (IBS) Feb. 19-21. All registered attendees of IBS and the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show will have the opportunity to tour the home, as well as its counterpart, The New American Home 2019.
