On June 5, the Federation will be on Capitol Hill.
NAHB members will meet with their congressional delegations on Capitol Hill to discuss issues of vital interest to the home building industry.
The day begins at the Hyatt Regency Capitol Hill with a morning briefing on key issues and guest speakers Senate Republican Conference Chairman John Barrasso (R-Wyo.) and House Majority Whip Jim Clyburn (D-S.C.). Bus transportation will be provided from the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel, headquarters for the 2019 Spring Leadership Meeting.
After a day of Capitol Hill office visits and meetings, the NAHB Legislative Conference concludes with an evening reception at the Wardman Park Hotel.

Step One: Schedule Your Meetings
Your first step is to schedule the meetings with your members of Congress on June 5, using the template below. Please keep in mind some members may only be available on June 4 or the morning of June 5, because the House and Senate will not be in session on the afternoon of June 5.
Step Two: Review the Key Legislative Issues
We are asking federal policymakers to move forward on a number of important issues. Please take a few minutes to review NAHB’s 2019 Legislative Priorities brochure, which covers these key areas:
- Housing affordability
- Trade and tariffs
- Workforce development
- Housing finance reform
- National Flood Insurance Program
- Low-Income Housing Tax Credit
- Building energy codes
