Stephen Moore More about Stephen Moore Stephen C. Moore is Senior Partner of BSB Design, a nationally recognized planning and design firm, founded in 1966 and headquartered in Des Moines, IA. Steve joined the firm as marketing director during the depths of the recession of 1991 and helped grow BSB into one the nation’s few truly national residential design firms in the country, now with ten offices nationwide, serving 19 of the top 25 homebuilders as ranked by BUILDER and Professional Builder.. With an architecture degree from the University of Virginia, Moore has spent over 40 years in the housing industry, working as a staff person at NAHB, a construction superintendent, a homebuilder production manager and as architectural firm management. As an industry volunteer, Steve has held chair positions on NAHB committees for Convention Education, Design, the 55+ Awards, Multifamily Pillars and The Nationals awards programs, in addition to positions with the AIA, Multi-Housing World and ULI. He is a frequent speaker at national and regional building industry conventions, seminars and management conferences speaking on design trends, innovation and construction efficiencies. While as a NAHB staff member Steve was contributing author for the NAHB publication Higher Density Housing: Planning Design Marketing and founded NAHB’s Best in American Living Awards (BALA). In January 2009 Steve was elected in the inaugural class of the BALA Hall of Fame.
