Jess Lohse More about Jess Lohse Jess grew up in the construction industry tagging along with his father and grandparents at the family lumberyard and truss manufacturing facility, as well as joining his grandfather throughout high school in his construction business building single family homes. After graduating from the University of Montana with an MBA, Jess started a component manufacturing operation in western-Montana at the height of the building boom. Jess rapidly grew the business just in time for the housing down turn, during which, Jess pivoted and relocated the business to north central Montana as the second closest truss operation to the Bakken oil boom of the early 2010s. Jess served as a national board member of the Structural Building Components Association (SBCA) for 10 years including chairing multiple committees and serving on the Executive Committee for a number of years. He also served as President of SBCA and won the association’s SBC Industry Leadership Award in 2016 and was inducted into its Hall of Fame in 2018.
